BEST OF NC DOUBLES OPEN TOURNAMENT

- Place: Greenhope Elementary Sand Courts. See the directions.

-One-day tournament

-Check In: 9.00 AM Play will begin at 9.30 AM.

-Men`s and Women`s Open divisions

-Double elimination (16 teams) or round robin pool play and single elimination playoffs.

-$ 20 / person entry fee.

-Up to 16 teams will be accepted

-The AVP rules and court size

-Net, Antennas

-Net serve rule in effect

-Best of three rally scoring games. (Director may vary scoring.)

-Prizes will vary according to entries.

How will the new format work? AA Format

There won`t be two different divisions at the beginning of the tournament and all the teams will start from 4-team pools. First two places will advance to Open Division and play a single elimination tournament. Last two places in the pools will stay in AA division and play another double elimination. We`ll run this format if we have 8 or more teams.

KING / QUEEN OF THE COURT TOURNAMENT

Regular King/Queen of the beach format. Pool games for all rounds. First two places will advance to next rounds. We`ll still have an AA division after first Round.

FORMAT: The King/Queen of the Beach format sees individuals playing one set as a partner to each member of their pool. Points scored in each set are accumulated for individual players rather than teams. The players with the most points (first two) progress through the rounds, with lowest scoring individuals eliminated. Eliminations will continue until the final pools.
